Investigation Interviews: New Challenges and Emerging Trends

Investigation Interviews: New Challenges and Emerging Trends

Details

Investigation interviews are the main mechanism for evidence gathering used by investigators. The interview is the key tool to understand why and how events happened. But the way humans communicate is changing and, therefore, the investigation interview process needs to be adaptable to keep pace.

Recent studies on memory, cognition, cultural awareness and interview techniques can help us to stay abreast of trends and strategies for eliciting information from interview subjects.

Join Mark Anderson, Director of Training with Anderson Investigative Associates, as he discusses emerging trends in investigative interviewing.

The webinar will cover:

  • Psychology of interviewing
  • Cognitive processes underlying victim, witness and suspect responses
